Detroit News — African-American history and Detroit go hand-in-hand. A group of doctors it is turning a historic building into a medical museum and they’re currently seeking donations of old equipment and raising funds for the renovation. It’ll be good to see the addition of a new museum and hopefully it will draw in a few black history buffs.
DETROIT — A group of black doctors hopes to turn the old Dunbar Hospital into a showcase museum this year.
Opened in 1918, Dunbar is one of the city’s first black-owned hospitals. It was housed in a three-story Victorian home on the city’s eastside.
