Detroit has a huge Polish/Polish-American population, almost a million, and almost the largest Polish city in the world. There used to be a Poletown, which is now a GM plant, which left Hamtramck as Detroit’s Polish enclave, although today it is much more diverse — the East side is known to some as Little Bengal. Polish culture is a big part of metro Detroit’s culture every Fat Tuesday, which is known in Detroit as Paczki Day.
Today I found another piece of Polish Detroit culture, this web site, but unfortunately I have no idea what it says. It appears to be a forum among other things.
