The answer to this container proposal is an easy one. Simply invite DeMaria to make a presentation to the CPC and you'll have the foremost authority on this construction methodology in the United States working for us instead of others who are experimenting. I went on the DeMaria website, listened to his interviews online and even found a few books with his work in it - designing and building with containers is second nature to this fellow. He has many projects using containers, not just a one or a "good idea" about doing one. I can understand the CPC hesitancy of trying container project with less talented or inexperienced architects who all have "designs" for container projects, but this architect is the only one that I've researched who has built a wide range of container projects that are attractive - they don't look like stereotypical affordable buildings. I'm in LA on business and he is well known here for his breakthrough affordable yet high design work. Either go to the best or sit and complain with the rest.

Envision Prefab is engaged in the process of designing, building, and selling green, affordable prefab homes built from cargo containers. The concept behind Envision Prefab is to target the affordable housing market by bringing a new level of sustainability and environmentally responsible construction to the workforce-housing marketplace.
