Ambassador Magazine

09.07.07 | technician | In media, bookstore

I saw a new magazine at the Borders bookstore in the Compuware building in downtown Detroit the other day. It’s called Ambassador and it’s about Detroit. It’s very nicely done, on par with Clear Magazine I would say although the focus is pretty much local. It’s published by Denise Ilitch and Dennis Archer, Jr. and is a little over a year old and features many of the hip things to do, eat, people to be, and people to know. There really are a lot of creative people in Detroit and this is just another outlet for them. Their web site really doesn’t do the print magazine justice but it’ll give you an idea of what you’ll find inside an issue. The Metro Times and Real Detroit are good resources too, especially on a weekly basis, but Ambassador goes a little deeper into the soul of Metro Detroit.
