Is it really possible? Ever since a previous administration closed down mental health institutions across the state there have been a great number of people left homeless who truly can’t just get a job like you or me. Most of the people in the state get away with ignoring the problem, the wealthy forcing the less well-off to deal with it. The same goes for many regional problems — let the city of Detroit pay for it.
From Crain’s Detroit:
“Homelessness is a solvable problem,” Candace Williams, president of the Homeless Action Network, said in a release.
The solution will concentrate on areas of prevention, housing, supportive services, community engagement and collaboration.
